So you have found yourself here at Gutmunchers.com.  This has been a long time coming and is something that I’ve worked very hard on.  My goal is to provide some entertainment thru our comic strip, as well as be a useful resource thru our movie reviews.  I plan on reviewing everything from horror, exploitation, sci-fi to action movies and cult films.  Basically anything that I think is cool and fun.  So again I hope you enjoy what we are doing and if you have any suggestions please feel free to drop us an email

The Latest News and Site stuff...

May 16th, 2012

Some site updates for you today.  Posted reviews for Requiem for a Vampire, Mutant Girl’s Squad (have to love the Japanese), A Bullet for the General, and Playback.  The best news is that I only really hated one of them!

Convention season 2012 continues with the Horror Hotel Festival.  It is a one day event and looks to be a lot of fun.  We will be attending and covering it for the site.  If you are going to be around northeast Ohio then stop by to say hi.

I also have plans to hit at least one more show before the Fall Horror Realm and Cinema Wastelands.  I’m looking forward to a summer of fun.  Hope to see you guys around.

Lots of new reviews for site posted today.  Killer Nun, Operation Condor 2, Virgin Witch, and Wizards.  Lots of variety with something for everyone.  Check them out in our review section here

After Wasteland I’m so jazzed about conventions that I’ve decided to hit up another convention this summer.  Keep an eye out for announcements where I will be at.  The first person to say hi to me will get some exciting prizes!  Well maybe not that exciting but it is free stuff.

Had such a great time last weekend at Cinema Wasteland.  The report for the show is up in our featured articles section here.

Other than writing some reviews I haven’t had much going on.  That is why I’ve not had a lot to write here in the news section.  I hope to have more to write about soon.

Man can’t live on movies alone.  Stop by and check out our book and magazine reviews in the library section.

Holy Crap!!!  I can die a happy man now...

Me standing in the mines.  Very surreal experience.

Lori Cardille is the best!  I’ve never met a nicer celebrity in all my years as a horror nerd.

This is Scott Goldberg and I.  Someone needs to hook Scott up with the money to make some features.  Very talented guy.

Pictures from my set visit to Scott Goldberg’s The Three

I feel the need to pop this one in again for another viewing.  If you haven’t seen Black Belt Jones then you are missing out.  I love this movie!

This is George the sock monkey and Gutmuncher.com’s mascot.  For more about his origins click here.

Bonus audio interviews!

Last year I had a chance to visit the mines where Day of the Dead was shot.  Independent filmmaker Scott Goldberg was shooting some footage for his movie the Three.  Below are interviews with Lori Cardille and John Amplas who appeared in Day of the Dead and star in Scott’s new movie.  Also we have an interview with Scott Goldberg.

This Saturday May 19th we will be attending the Horror Hotel Festival in scenic (well maybe not scenic...) Hudson Ohio.  If you live in on the North coast you should stop by and check it out.

Meeting the late Bill Hinzman was a huge thrill for me and something that I will never forget.
